Our i-DCA System
Robot-guided application solution for precise, fully automated processes with self-adhesive die-cuts.
The advanced application solution
In automated manufacturing, self-adhesive die-cuts present particular challenges: varying geometries, confined spaces, and the need for consistent quality at high cycle rates. The i-DCA system addresses these requirements as a fully integrated robotic tool that combines positioning, material supply, and process monitoring in a single compact unit.
This makes i-DCA especially well suited for applications where repeatable results, reliable material flow, and high availability are critical.
FLEXIBLE POSITIONING Process monitoring OPTIMIZED
MATERIAL SUPPLY
Fast, integrated, process-stable
The system handles a broad range of self-adhesive die-cuts and component geometries. It can be used with standard industrial robots and is suitable for both new installations and the retrofitting of existing lines.
- High material throughput through coupling of picking and application processes
- Integrated material supply and process control and monitoring, no control cabinet required
- By using two tools per robot, a continuous application process is enabled
Proven worldwide
More than 150 i-DCA systems are in automated series use at OEMs worldwide.

Benefits for your production
Space-saving tool geometry
Thanks to the flat design of the application tools, the storage unit can be integrated into a simple transfer station and does not require a rotary table. This creates a particularly space-saving solution for automated systems.
Easy to automate
All system functions are combined in a single robotic tool. This makes automation easier, reduces integration effort, and eliminates potential sources of error in the line.
Standardized connection
Connection is via cost-effective standard hose packages for 24 V, compressed air, and Profinet/Ethernet-IP. Additional external control components or cabinets are not required.
Non-contact material handling
Dedicated servo drives keep the material under tension and position the die-cuts precisely. The straightforward web path and non-contact application process enable the processing of all common die-cut formats — including double-sided adhesive materials and particularly stiff die-cuts.
Continuous process monitoring
Input pressure and secondary pressure zones are continuously monitored. During application, the system checks contact force and position. The suction pressure measurement detects lost die-cuts and confirms a successful process based on the target blow-off pressure.
Relief for manual workstations
Process steps where several operators previously pressed rubber plugs into openings by thumb pressure can be automated. This significantly reduces work steps with particularly high physical strain.
Service-friendly complete solution
The tool can be fully tested, serviced, and shipped away from the robot when required. This simplifies service work and eliminates the need for interventions on the system.
Designed for continuous operation
Designed for high cycle rates and 24/7 operation.
Five servo motors, two position measurement systems, and eight pressure measurement channels ensure precise, repeatable processes — even under intensive multi-shift use.
The feed is contactless, allowing the processing of all common adhesive pad formats — from single-sided pads and particularly stiff die-cuts to double-sided adhesive materials. All relevant process parameters are continuously recorded and transmitted to the higher-level control system.
